Please help me

Post by varna »

Please help me - I've got all the way to chapter 6 and collected 5 of the 6 badges. I've killed the simalcrum of Malavon and the golems but the REAL Malavon won't appear. I can't exit the lab, can't sleep and purge invisibility / dispel magic hasn't worked.

I don't know how much I can help - I've never encountered this problem.

Just the basics, then - you have explored the entire laboratory area to make sure that Malavon's non-emergence is certainly a technical issue? Second, you may have to return to a previous savegame and try again.

hey! I've tried the same thing. If this is the same problem as mine it's because you kill the fake Malavorn the wrong way. Make sure you kill him directly ( not area spells or with summons ect ) but personally ( with your own weapons such as bows crossbows and all kinds of melee weapons. You also have to make sure you have line og sight with Malavon when he dies. Thats the way i killed him when the exact same thing happend to me. If your already stuck in this situation ( dosn't have a save to load ) your in trouble.
Did I just roll 1 on a save vs. death? DANG! *>.<

No Viligers?!

I got to the dragons eye, were am I suposed to be resqueing the villagers. None of them are there. It may have been how I killed the lizard king, could this have messed up one of the game triggers or something like in this surcemstance?

i've had that happen before. i think its a bug or something, but basically i think you need to do the lizard king bit in a certain order or something. i can't remember exactly but if you have a look at the walkthrough it will prob tell you the way to do stuff so it works.

or use an earlier save if you have one. or simply don't rescue the prisoners (i'm not sure if that is an option though)

Possible Dragon's Eye spoilers

I think it's ok if you don't rescue the villagers, although you will miss out on a fair chunk of quest XP. Your real goal in going to Dragon's Eye is the Heartstone Gem, not the villagers.

The key to getting XP for rescuing the villagers is not to sleep after taking out the Lizard King. There's a little girl in the southeast corner of the map who gives you XP for killing the LK and rescuing the villagers, and she leaves before talking to you if you rest after killing the LK.

Kill all the lizardmen in the southeast passages before taking out the LK, and you won't encounter this problem.
