Lightsaber forms

Post by Kadaver »

Does your lightsaber form affect your fighting technique (do you see a difference when you're using another form)?

When you're asking T3 to make computer spikes, does he actually stop sometimes or can you just keep asking him to make you spikes until you have 99?

Don't you agree with me that darth sion is awfully similair to burnt anakin skywalker in episode 3:mischief:

It adds some effects that you can see displayed in the window whenever you switch techniques for lightsaber use. There is no visual difference, other than a few more blaster shots being sent back to the enemy if you8 are using that style.

He stops somewhere around ten or so, from what I remember.

Anakin was redder and a mite more crispy. ;)

Oh Yeah, and another thing about lightsaber form, are they effective when you are not wielding a lightsaber?

no, they are lightsaber forms so you have to use a lightsaber to work. the force forms however can be used no matter what weapon you have.

There are seven forms but you can only learn 6? Does it depend on the master which form you learn? Or on your class, sentinel/guardian, because i got ferocity from kavar but i missed niman.

I think it depends on both your current class and the master you learn from.

As a Guardian I got a lightsaber form from Zez'Kai-Ell (or what's his name?) on Nar Shaddaa, but as a Sith Lord, I got Force Potency.

About the 7th form: You should learn the final form near the end of the game.

*SPOILER*
As a lightsider, I got the quite powerful Force Enlightment, which allows you to activate a number of suporting force powers at the same time (I think it was Energy Resistance, Speed and Valor).

All characters get:

Determination (shii-cho)
Contention (makashi)
Resilience (soresu)
Force Channel

Depending on class, you may also get:
Aggression (ataru)
Perseverence (shien)
I cant remember the name, but its good for balance (niman) (not on the GB site)
Ferocity (Juyo)
Force Affinity
Force Potency
Force mastery (Not on the GB site)

Consulars/Masters/Sith Lords get the force forms :D

Each class gets them in the same order, NO MATTER WHAT MASTER TEACHES THEM.

Hope this helps...

you don't get all the forms every game. which forms you get depend on your original class and your prestige class. if you have never recieved those two forms then you need to play as a different class. as for the most powerful forms, you do not get those til quite close to the end of the game.

You get the 4 at the top of my list in the last post. (3 saber + one force)

You then get 3 others based on class... NOT all of them

So you learn 7 forms - which can be saber or force forms...

The 3 forms based on class are learned either from the jedi master or Kreia when you fight the jedi master. List below:
Spoiler
Vrook on Dantooine
Kavar on Onderon (pt.2)
Zez-kai-ell on Nar Shadaa
@Hill, or any other moderator - is there any chance that niman and Force Mastery can be added to the force power section in the GB guide?
