Stone of Recall?????

I know I have to be thick to ask this question but please..... how do I activate this stone of recall thing?
So far all I manage to do is drop it on the floor and pick it up again - any tips please cos it takes ages to walk all the way back to the city core, when I'm in the pits of the prison.

Via the right-click menu. "unique power: yourself" I think it says.

Or the easiest (and most sensible way) is to drop the stone on a quickslot, and then use the corresponding F-key.

On that note, would you can also do is pause the game and head into your inventory and DOUBLE CLICK the stone of recall. That'll activate it too.
