No,just the skeleton of one(its on the ice cave were the aquario main area is) and some talk about one that was killed long ago(You know,in Easthaven were we start) ,I played from the begining to the end.No dragon there(thank the goods, like that tana´ri in the dragon eye was not enoght). But it look like a white one is going to show up in HoW.
About IWD, a great game ,to play online, not solo.I played but... I liked BG better because of the towns and not to have a 7 levels dungen. I would like to see bioware make new games in areas like the dales, Cormyr, Tray(Tray why Tray?) just like IWD but with more towns people and non linear quest(IWD was WAY to linear) It would be fun to start a lv 1 party all over again.

*small voice* 'I post on the IWD board'!
Yep. No Dragons.
Drakron, do you think a tana'ri is tougher than a dragon (i forget how much exp they are in BG2, though it is 48K for Yxunomei)?
Are they? Should they be? O wise oracle of all that is 'proper' PnP D&D.

well I found her Dificult
she is Marilith(true tana´ri) and she is worth(by the book) 45000.ok she is not as bad as a dragon but you are about 8 our 9 level at that time.
The last guy was Hell, lost ALL the party except my Dwarf warrior that manage to kill him with only 15 hp.

Oh no, I agree. Nor did I factor in the level differences to BG2. Actually that's a point. Shouldn't a weak party get more xp relative toa strong pary for killing something tough?
Anyway, 2nd time around I bashed her good. She chased my mage around whilst hasted fighters whacked her silly. Last fight is tough too. I went mass invisibe, haste, kill the golems then kill him. Easy after you've died 12 times already...

The increase in required exp with higher levels is already more than enough to make up for this difference. After all, strength of a party is measured by the level of its members, right?
45000 over 6 members is a good 7500 points per member. If you're level 1, you will blow your way up pretty fast. If you're lvl 21, you'd say "Oh, just some more exp".

I realised my error after I posted. You're right Maurice. However there is a point where a fight against a powerful creature, like a dragon, is exceedinlgy tough for a level 9/10 party yet perhaps easy for a 11/12 party.
But the xp reward means very little more for the 9/10 party when it takes so much xp to go up a level at that point. But I guess it is enough to make an impact.
