regular items dissapearing in ust natha?
hey all, i'm in the drow city at this part of the game and it seems that a few of my prize items are gone. jaheira's super club is gone, so is her sling of avoreen. valygar's family blade is just gone. i though maybe i missed the things from when they died and were ressurected, causing them to have to recollect their things. but, my main character is missing her cloke of the good archmage. there's no way her stuff could go missing that way b/c...well you know. has this happened to anyone else?
Peace is that one point in history when everyone is just sitting around...reloading.

Three things:
Summon Nishruu ~ if this thing gets too close to caster characters it'll eat items and make them dissappear, especially rings but they also eat things like bracers and so forth
Summon Hakshar ~ same deal as the Nishruu, if any mages cast this, fire off a Death Spell asap
Cloak of Fear ~ Priest spell that makes enemies too close to the caster run away, when characters do run away they have a chance at dropping equipped weapons.
Earthquake ~ Not common but can happen, this makes characters drop their weapon if they fail a save.
---------
My guess is you've been doing the mage fights in the Ust Natha tavern, a common spell most of the mages use is Summon Nishruu.

Spoiler
, it has yet to return
I also found myself missing out on items after being to the UD last game. I was playing tactics and item-upgrade so I had access to more... wickedly nasty weapons so I didn't bother much about it. I did do every mage battle in Ust Natha though. Hmm...
Didn't know they ate that kind of stuff, the manual states they only draw charges of items, like for example the shambling mound-summons from the staff of woodlands.![Eek! :o](./images/smilies/)

Well, they're not supposed to, it's a game bug that never got fixed by the original patch. Go to Spellhold Studios and search the forum for Baldurdash Weidu, which should take care of that problem.

Or just go strait to http://www.baldurdash.org
and get the fixpack from the people who designed it, rather than chase links to spellhold, and then http://www.baldurdash.org

I was suggesting Spellhold since there's a weidu version of BDash over there that's still being updated, unlike the original which hasn't been in a couple of years.
