Tycho or Ian ?

Malta Soron - thanks for the help on targeting. I'm still not getting the "creature pic" though. Sometimes I do; sometimes I don't ? I think it needs more AP to target. I just changed to my Plasma Rifle + bought all the Cell Zach had in inventory = I might test it out now, as I just received an "action boy" bonus + the Plasma Rifle only requires 5AP vs 6AP for the Sniper(.. add 1 when targeting - if I read my interface correctly)

On the Tycho vs Ian debate - I gave Ian the .223 pistol. Tycho has the Combat Shotgun. Watching the game play out, Ian does much more damage.
I tried giving Tycho a Plasma Pistol, he still uses the shotgun ? I told him to use the best weapon.
What weapon works best with each ?
I have enough $ to buy everything; but nothing to spend it on

I'm currentlt "killing" the Deathclaws in the Boneyard ... for some reason, all the xp in Necropolis was unavailable = the ghoul with the water pump quest was dead + Set was dead ?
I'm at level 11.
I'm going to Glow next; then get my super armor + rifle.
I'm hoping to have the proper setup, as I'm not that good at this "turn" game :-(

The .233 is a very good gun for Ian. Tycho can't handle the Plasma Pistol, and with the Combat Shotgun he gets only on shot per round, so you should give him the Sniper Rifle, or the Red Ryder LE BB Gun if you find it (found in a special encounter) (note the LE; the gun without LE sucks). That way he'll deal way more damage.

do you see super mutants walking around everywhere? Or did you remove the Water Chip?

Are you using melee weapons? Otherwise, those skillpoints were rather wasted. But that's not lethal

Hmm, about Tycho's weapon, if you gave him a plasma pistol and still he's not usin' it, try to steal his combat shotgun, leavin' him with the pistol only. Tell him to use his best weapon if you want to be sure. I'll bet he'll use it.
And my personal opinion, a .223 with Ian is more deadly than a plasma pistol with Tycho.

I doubt it. I think he simply can't use them (no skill).
