Well I have been trying and my max was 7 on peragus. I have beaten the game as a lvl 26 guardian before! How do you get to a higher level on peragus?

you can't without cheating - why do you want to be level 45 on peragus anyway? being that high a level early on would make the rest of the game pointless

Your levels will eventually go up the longer you are off Peragus. At least, that is how I view that part of the game.

Most of the people here have breached level thirty when they finish the game -- I myself have finished at the levels of 27, 29 and 31. Patience is all you need for levels in this game...

if you want to get extra xp try making sure you use consoles as well as killing things (sometimes you can do both so you effectively get extra xp - such as kill things then use a console to blow up something when there is nothing left in a room, this works especially well in kotor 1 but i imagine it will work just as well in 2). also, repair every droid you find and you will get xp. the highest i've ever been when arriving on telos citadel station after peragus is level 8.

I don't think you can get 45 on Peragus without cheating or seriously exploiting an xp bug.

EDIT
I apologise for this post; a grave misunderstanding. (started ranting about Persuade, for goodness' sake...) So pardon me for echoing what's been said above. "Fool!"

You should do so well as to be sucked into the engine of some evil Sith Lord, you know.

I'm pretty sure there's no XP bug ever been found on Peragus...

Come to think of it, you can repeatedly set and pick up all those minor sonic charges if you really want to be level 45, but man, its going to bore you silly....

Hmm... There's no way of getting up that high on Peragus... Well, there's no way without cheating anyway. I mean, I don't even think there are enough enemies on that crappy facility to get you near the twenties..

If you grab every possible Xp point without cheating, you leave Peragus at level 8...
