Hex editing broken, quest?

Post by Acleacius »

Anyone have info on editing Guild quest, yet?
I noticed that during Multiplayer games, only the server's player retains improtant info/items like maps and keys.

Most bugs/broken quest seem to come from everyone not doing the same guild quest, ie friend wants to be fighter/mage type while I perfer thief/mage.
Have even had instances where if a player does't land the killing blow on his guild quest, ie my fighter friend kills my thief boss, it will break the quest often.

In a way to quick fix many of these issues, I am trying to find any info about hex and quest.

A second idea, I am wondering if anyone knows how to fully expose the map and possible export it to allow our multiplayer maps to be fully exposed, since as clients we constantly loose our maps.

Has anyone notice improvements in multiplayer games with the CE version, still using 1.4 here.?

Thanks for any tips. :)
Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language...they're not even real words as much as a succession of violent images.

Does anyone know where the quest are stored in the save game?
Refering to the Inventory items near the bottom of the save games, shouldn't the Quest be in an desginated area of the save also?

If we can learn the things we know about items, about the quest sure could help the multiplayer problems.

Thanks.

I think Steve2d plans on including quest manipulation in his editor.
