Hello Gang. My version of this was 1.2,so I used the downloader and updated to 1.3,I then downloaded the english version 1.3 to 1.4.Anyway after all that I am still playing the basic game and dont get the benefits of the collectors version.Apart from going home to cry.I wonder if one of the few geneisis can help me .
CE just adds 44 aditional items/spells, more trees, potted plants and SOME furniture inside, a few extra quests, and spawning has increased. Elven fortress, that you used to just walk through, is now locked and you have to detour to Lake Lohr just north and do something to allow you to pass through the gates. Treehouses can be climbed and chests and a quest up there. The mysterious gate in the Fargrove castle dungeon, can be opened with a key. If you jump into the moat, before going in to confront Okatta, kill a thief in the water and pick up the Black Key for that infamous gate. etc, etc, etc.

I have a couple of suggestions. First, the game as of version 1.4 is fun and worth playing. So go for it.
Second, just wait a bit and buy a copy of the collector's edition for cheap from your local software outlets used game bin.
