why are my resistances minus one million and a half and the little imp in wastelands kill me instantly???????????????????????please help or i will burn my computer down

I hope you won't burn your computer down, in any case. It is far better to find a constructive outlet for frustration.

But if the desert imps are killing you, then pay attention to exactly what kind of attack is doing it. Whichever one is responsible, you need more of the resistance associated with that attack. I hope you have a stock of wearables (like gloves, a helmet, boots) with plenty of gem holders for enchantment, because that's how you'll get by, in the desert. Socket only the gold charms: they're simply the best, and you'll find them around for the various resistance.

Thank You Very Much For Your Constructive Solution But There Are Still Some Of The Problems Left!first Of All:
I Only Saw Two Or Three Very Large Charms In The Whole Game!whole Game!!!i Found And Bought Only Large Charms Because There Aren`t Better To Buy Or Find!
I Think Your Solution Is Worth A Chance But How Come That The Other Bosses Have Not Killed Me Before.i Made Killing Machine Of A Character And Now Is Gone.
That Thing With The Resistances Is It In For All Or Is It Just A Spoiler????

Yes, the gold charms only show up when you're facing very difficult enemies, or after you've gone to the desert. Remember, DD has a large incident of random drops, so you may never see a gold charm until the final chapter. I usually sold all the other charms I found, since they bring in good cash I could then spend on better items, or especially, skill books.

The last chapter really ratchets up the level of difficulty, so with good character development you should be able to get through everything minus charms--until the desert.

The information about charms for resistance isn't a spoiler, just advice. No plot giveaways are involved. Hope that helps.

one particular problem

Hi,it is me again!Let me introduce my character:strength 185,agility 145,const. 132,offense 118,defense 111,damage 152-207,armor 240,reputation 38,but look at this- lightning resistance is -1573595
fire res. is -1573617,poison res. is -1573612 and spirit res. is -1573607!!!!!!!!!
To kill imp raider or imp mage I need one slice with my bastard sword with no damage done to me(imp mage casts fireballs which deals me no great damage!)but there are imp shamans that casts lightning which kills me instantly!!!!I can`t get close to them to strike because when they show up anywhere on the screen I`m as good as dead!I tried to put some lightning res. gems into my outfit(as you suggested!) but the problem is still there.
Aren`t resistances supposed to be from 0-100 in the game?Can somebody heal me in the game?Does that happen to all of you who played(resistances in minus)? IF ANYONE KNOWS THE SOLUTION PLEASE HELP

If you have huge negatives resistances, it's obviously a bug. Have you used the latest patch for the game?

on killing crusade again

I installed latest version of patch and it worked!Negative resistances were bug in the game.I am happy again to see my divine soldier back on his feet again and that no one can`t stop us!

I guess the lesson learned here is to patch first and then play the game. I always do that as a rule since saved games may not work with a new patch or may require starting over. I'm glad the patch did not cause either problem for you.
