Spell Sequencer/Trigger problem

Post by Woof »

Ever since I finished SoA and began ToB, Aerie and Imoen can't use their spell sequencers and triggers. If I cast one, it says that I can't have any more of that kind, but if I look in their special items button, it doesn't show any spell sequencer buttons. On their picture icons, it has the swirly symbol you get when you have a sequencer active. Is there a way around this? Can you do something that lets your character erase their sequencers without firing them off?

I once had a similar problem, though not identical, with Aerie once the party died and went to hell. In my case, she simply didnt have a special abilities button anymore, ie it was greyed out and did not respond to clicking with the mouse. My solution at the time was to use shadowkeeper to gift Aerie with a new innate special ability 'Set Snare'. Although she never used this set snare ability, it did have the effect of lighting up the Special Ability button again, and sure enough her memorised sequences/triggers reappeared therein.

Does Imoen have other special abilities available, but not your memorized sequences? Im sure you can fix your problem with shadowkeeper, even if my above solution does not apply.

You could try killing them and then ressurecting them, I remembered there was another way that might work but it escapes me at this point in time.

-_-

Edit: Oh yeah, in one's spellbook there is a very subtle button that is named "Contingencies and Sequencers" near the bottom of the pages. Click on the mentioned button and it'll bring up a list of memories contingencies and allow one to erase or modify them.
Warning: logic and sense is replaced by typos and errors after 11pm
Spoiler
, it has yet to return

Unfortunately that button is 'Contingencies' and offers no interaction with sequencers or triggers.
