gothic 1 sidequests (possible spoilers)

does anyone know if there are any sidequests in gothic 1 after chapter 1 as i can't seem to find any, except a book of riddles i found in an old tower on a skeleton mage

Well, I'd advise you to do all quests regarding addmiting to guild, regardless of which guild you chose. You do them all, just about BEFORE you definatelly chose to apply to a guild. They all give you nice XP. For example, when you're about to join, say, Old Camp, go to New Camp and to the same there, same for Sect Camp.
There's a cook in Old Camp, looking for Hell Mushrooms to make a "soup"

I can't recall exactly, he also gives you XP; you could try fiht in arena as well, but those guys will bust your head in a matter of few... there aren't that much side quests, but if you look carefully you will find them.

Thanks but they are all Chapter 1 - I was wondering about Chapter2 onwards. Doesn't matter now though cos I've finished Gothic1 and doubt I'll be playing it again as it was a bit of a let down after Gothic 2 (I prefer games that are a bit less linear with plenty of side quests and hated the fact that from Chapter 2 onwards it didn't really matter what guild you had joined)
