Silver key after Investigating the mayor

Post by LordDrgn »

So I stupidly did the investigate the mayor quest and discredited her therby never allowing me to fight Thunder. I was gathering all the silver keys and I rememebered that you fight thunder and where you land you can fish for one of the keys. Since I never fought thunder is there a way for me to still get this key or am I out of luck?

Thanks,

No, your s.o.l. The only way to discredit her and still get the key is to find the corpse AFTER you fight Thunder.
When all else fails, try brute force.

Dang, I was hoping there was still some way to get to that key, through the use of that rumored shovel thing to go through closed doors or something, but oh well, guess I am going to have to play the game over agian ;)

One other way to make up for the key is to get multiple keys from the same location. This can be done with any key that is hidden (have to fish/dig for) within a quest area. So you would:
Spoiler
  1. Start the quest
  2. Get to the area with the key
  3. Fish/dig for the key
  4. Save your game
  5. Reload your game
You will start back at the beginning of the quest with the key still in your inventory. This can also be done for other items (Find the Seeress is a great quest to get multiple Ages of Might/Skill/Will potions).
Good luck.

Be careful exploiting that bug. Its been known to make the game unstable.

Most of the time I've heard of instability it's when people do it like 20+ times, I think if you do it once or twice it's not a big deal.

But saving a game to an open slot before you do the cheat, and not overwriting that save game gives you the option of backtracking if you need to.
