Graphics Q
Hey, I'm a big Morrowind fan and am hoping to buy Oblivion for my PC, but I'm not sure if my graphics card is beefy enough for an above decent quality. Any of you out there running it on the once popular NVidia GeForce FX 5200? If not, do you guys think it can meet the demands of Oblivion. I'd rather not have to buy a new card.
Thx!

It might work, if you tone the graphics down by editing the INI file. Check the "Oblivion yellow pages" with my post about graphics on it.
See, I have an FX 5500 and it barely ran on normal, but it sped up severely with that tutorial on making graphics low. Now like I said, graphics are LOW, meaning it's not gonna look a thing like the original game, it's prolly going to look a bit less than morrowind, but the preformance of the game is great.

You might want to think about giving a bit more information, how much memory you computer has, what type of processor etc.

Well, Ive got a 3GHz Pentium IV, 1GB RAM, and plenty of memory left on my C disk (not sure what my soundcard is though) I'm pretty sure everything's fine, except for my graphics card. I might just buy a 6200 or 6600--I think they're beefy enough and the prices on 'em have gone down quite a bit. ($100-$150)
Thx again!
