Help in Hordes of Underdark (spoiler)

I went into Undermountain and now I'm on the second level, Central. I find four coloured pedestals and a pool right in the middle... I attach the suitable chain to each pedestal, click on the pool, that shows the colours in a weird order. I pull the chains in that order, not forgetting to check the pool every time... A small Dragon appears every time I pull a chain. But, when I'm done, the door is still locked... Why?

if the chains summon something then it means you pulled them in the wrong order. if you do it correctly, nothing appears and the door just opens. it can be tricky though as it shows a sequence of 6 colours and sometimes it uses the same colour twice in a row so you have to look really carefully - the light will very briefly go white in between colours so if you zoom in and pause after each colour shows up and make a note of the colour you can usually figure it out.

ahem, (spoiler) you are overzealous about looking in the pool. every time you look in the pool the order you are supposed to pull the chains changes. look in the pool once, write down the order the colors show up (there are six). Pull the chains in that order without looking in the pool again. voila.

my guess is that you pull the first chain and hear a bell, look in the pool and then pull the second chain and the draglet shows up. if so, that's definately you're problem.
