Hey, I installed the the Ascension MOD with another one wich says modifyes the game to play TOB with Irenicus in your party, I dont exactly remember the name of it. anyway, Im stuck in the end of SOA with it because instead of the normal deamons wich helped him in hell, now I have four really hard bastards: a black dragon, a contemplator, one wich looks like sarevoc in bg1 and a magic black sword (besides, irenicus himself, not assasin form).
guys I mena this batle is IMPOSIBLEEE, that god for saken dragon throws my party away with its breath and I cant do anything to stop my sleepy party from dying. Can anyone help me or tell me what to do here? I had to uninstall it and I just left ascension. please any help is a great relieve. TANKS.
Irenicus final
This post would've been better in SoA, because the battle takes place in SoA (and you'll receive more views and help in there).
As for the Mod's you're using: that tough battle comes with Ascension, while recruiting Irenicus in ToB can be done by Redemption.
Now to your troubles with the final battle. I can't really give any indepth advice, because I need to know your party composition first. What NPC's do you have along? Which class are you playing? etc. Before the battle, I always lay a few well-placed and equally deadly Spike Traps to take out the Black Dragon before he has taken more than one step. Then, I focus on the Beholder, which is a true nuisance with its spells. The Sword and Saravok should be easily killed. Use a lot of Magic Missiles on the Sword (it's like a Mordekainen's Sword, so only spells can kill it), while Sarevok can only be taken out with brute force. Try a buffed up character to soak his damage up (through the use of Stone-, Ironskin, Mirror Images, Protection from Magic Weapons, etc). Like I already said, though, I'd need a party composition before indepth advice can be given.
In the meantime, you could always check out Ascension's ReadMe for hints and tips.

"Sometimes Dreams are wiser than waking"
You must be talking about Improved Irenicus from the Tactics Mod. As far as I know, it has no relation to the Ascension Mod.
Personally, I don't like Tactics. If you think you've had enough "fun" with Tactics already and you're ready to move on to something else, then you should uninstall it so you can finish Shadows of Amn and start playing Throne of Bhaal. Otherwise, if you can't live with yourself if you don't beat Improved Irenicus, you should ask for specific tips for that mod or do a search on Google.
Good luck!

This is really not ToB, the thread should be in SoA.
If you look in the Tactics folder you installed, you will find extensive help for most of the components, including this one, in several readme files. IMHO the mod would be much better if winning that battle (against black dragon, sword, etc) was the end of it. But unfortunately when they are defeated the following incarnation is too cheesey. Good luck.
