Guild of Mages

Hi, I did the first part of the Guild of Mages quest, and returned the Staff of Scaris to Rianne. But i have not been given th goahead for the 2nd Quest. Who and where do i get the ability from to do the second quest? Could someone help me out? Thanks alot

Hello.
The first quest was the initiation quest, after that you may chose wether you want to become a Sorcerer or a Battlemage, after you've met the requirements for the class you have chosen you will be given a quest.
After completing this quest and returning back to someone who is related to the guild of mages (Rianne or Aleister) your class will become active.
When you talk to that person again you'll recieve the second Guild quest (in this case, you'll need to help out the shaman Feros Duul in Skulldoon), after completing this quest talk to Rianne or Aleister and chose wether you want to become a Warlock or a Wizard (please note that you can only become a Wizard after having an active Sorcerer class).
Once you have chosen you will be given yet another quest, after completing this quest talk to Rianne or Aleister to make your class active.

I've completed the sorcerer quest, and have all the added abilities (so I know its actually finished), but haven't been offered the second guild quest yet. So it could be it has to wait until you get back into Fargrove, or there is another trigger. But you can't get sorcerer and just talk to Rianne to get it.

I did not receive the second quest until I got back into Fargrove. Apparently, Rianne doesn't give it.

You only get a quest from a guildmaster when you start a new conversation with them. So for Rhianne, if you turned in the staff, you would have had to exit the conversation and then talk to her again to get the quest.

(If that's what you did and it didn't work, then I don't know. Rhianne should be a guildmaster.)

You can't do that second quest until after you liberate Fargrove from Okatta anyway, so it doesn't really matter. Just talk to the guildmaster in Fargrove before heading south.
