Help!!!

I just bought a new computer and when i try to install bg2 onto my computer i get through the first disc and when i insert the second disk it goes up one more percent then i get an error...please help

have you checked the second disc for marks or scratches? it could be a faulty/damaged/dirty cd

although it may cause you trouble later if you have corrupted data - you get the options retry ignore and cancel. start off with retry and if it keeps getting stuck go to ignore.
you'll end up at 100% without the machine having finished installing - just keep going.

I note the files that it has trouble with so that I can try to manually copy them over afterwards to replace the iffy ones.
