Wild Mages

Post by Delacroix »

First time I see this new class I think it was cool, probably the game will have a wild mages schools or some quest with wild mages interaction. But none of this happen. Then I think that have no reason for why they created that class. No mention in the original DeD. Something is missing to this class make some sense.
In reality Wild mages class make no adition in the game.

Diferent from the monge, for example, you find a monge city and one son of Bhaal

Anyone disagree that something is missing?
[Sorry about my English]

I agree.

There is no real reward for choosing a wild mage. I am playing one myself at the moment and it'd fun seeing cows drop on peoples heads i must admit.

My problem with them is that there are many down sides to the surges, but not very many up sides. Heaps of negative or nothing affects, but not very many good ones. And some of the good ones are useless when they happen o the wrong spell. eg.

Vesarnin - Casts Blur - Vesarnin
Wild Surge - Double damage

So your chances of getting something good are halved again.

All that said, Reckless Dweomer is excellent, as it lets you cast ANY spell you have in your book, the downside, garaunteed surge.

My favourite is still the Sorcorer though.
