Hello.
I've got some questions (yes, again, can u believe it?!).
1.) This may sound rediculous but can you actually jump higher and further if you upgrade your atlethics?
2.) Is it possible to buy an upgrade from 1.4 to CE (just the upgrade) or must you buy the whole game again in CE (full price)? What would make your old disks useless...
I was planning to start playing multiplayer with my friend and I got some questions about that:
3.) If someone kills a monster in multiplayer, is the experience of the monster then disturbed among all of the players or only the one that has killed him?
4.) I wanted to check out how multiplayer is some time ago but I stumbled on a problem: I enterd my chracter's name (that character was already created and played a bit in the single player game), next I wanted to enter my IP adress so I clicked on "My IP"... I typed it over and pressed " Host game", my IP dissapeared and I went nowhere, next I typed it over once again and pressed "Join game", the same thing happend .
I then tried to go back by clicking on the "back" key, but nothing happend...
I was using version 1.0 back then, I now have 1.4...
So can you please explain how I actually get it all going, I've already red the manual and what it said about multiplayer but couldn't find anything there...
Tyvm. and I'm extremly sorry for the aweful English, Project-404.

Answers to the stupid questions
Ok,
I'll answer them to the best of my knowledge, but mind you, I'm using 1.5.
1) Nope, I just tested it by editing a characters athletics to 9, he jumped the same, so athletics is useless after you get all the dodges.
2) Sorry, CE comes with a whole new disk, so you must buy the game, uninstall 1.4, install 1.5 then play. NOTE: DO NOT MIX CDS Georgekeith tried it, and he had to uninstall it and wasted time.
3) I'm pretty sure it distributes among the players.
4) Well...it might have been a bug... although that happened to me once, but it was my first day playing and I was pushing random buttons -.-'
Anyways I hope this helps you

Thanks alot!
Thank you very much, that has definatly helped me.
Although I don't understand why the classes such as Budoka have a bonus for learning atlethics... To confuse players?
Oh and sorry that I am still asking a question but what do most people do?
Play through gamespy or through the direct IP connection?
Once again thank you very much.

with mutliplayer the xp is divided evenly, me and a friend played, and i got half the xp from a kill i normally would.
i think as long as you damage the monster once, and your friend kills it, you get half the xp.
i think the you get larger monster spawns though, which helps to make up for it, and i guess its easier with a friend so maybe you end up getting xp at the same rate as you would if you were solo.
but one interesting thing about multi mode, in solo mode you can pause the game, like when you are at very low health, you press your inventory or character screen and have a few moments to use a potion.
not in multi player, the game does not pause, even when you press escape for the save menu, i died alot cuz of that, im used to using a potion at a certain lvl of hit points, but have to use it sooner in multi.
im not sure how to help you with connecting over the internet, i only used lan, which is very easy. you could try using ipconfig to get your ip address maybe? if your behind a router like me, youll have to go to your router screen to get your ip address, then probably open ports or use port forwarding, though dont quote me on this, its been awhile
