Epic game - Epic Character help needed.

Post by Televolt »

Hello folks...

As normal, I'm here to aks little help with character builds... :p

I'm about to start an Epic campaing, and since I've never played epic game before I need some help...

The character is almost done.
here we go:

Race: Elf
Template: Half-Celestial

The classes:
-10 Arcane Archer/5 wiz/7 rogue; or
-10 Arcane Archer/7 wiz/5 rogue; or
-10 Arcane Archer/5 wiz/5 rogue/2 fighter

wich one of those are better???

STR- 10
DEX-25
CON-14
INT-16
WIS-10
CHA-12

feats:
-Weapon focus(longbow);
-point blank shot;
-precise shot;
-rapid shot;
-many shot;
-dead eye(dex to damage),
-craven(add the character lvl to sneak attack damage);
-sudden maximize(bonus feat of 5 lv de wiz)

there are some feats lefting, so help me complete them.

I got 700.000 gp to spend with itens, but can't buy a bow with it, 'couse I already got an special bow.
I have some 'must' itens i have to buy (DM said):
- ring of spellstoring (a nice one)
- chemical arrows
- and lots of scross.

The most dificult part for me is spells. I need help choosing them.
The character is an arcane acher, so the spells are basicly to help him with the bow.
and i'll use the sneak attack very frequently.

would like to have some tips too, how to play with an arcane archer, since I never played with one.

I thinks thanks it.

Sorry about the bad english, and thanks for your help. :D

I apologize if this sounds rude in any way, but if you're going to continue to play DND yourself, you really need to learn what's good in DND and what's bad in it for yourself. We can tell you the great fortitude feat is useless, but that should be for you to decide.

This SRD has tons of useful information on epic levels and such, please use it.

Again, I do apologize, but DND isn't your average game you can ask for what to do on, since you do what you want to do with it.

There are numerous other forums scattered across the internet for DnD character optimization, try the Wizards of the Coast website maybe, that I'm sure would be more helpful than GB obviously feels like being. I'd help you myself, unfortunately I don't play DnD; I do, however, know numerous people who do and I'd like to assure you that many will be much more willing to lend a helping hand. Sorry, but I guess my point with this post is more to lend moral support than anything. :p

I'd also just like to add that there is absolutely nothing wrong with asking for advice on creating and modifying characters of yours: there's so much fricking material to choose from that it's stupid to think one can just jump into any role in the game and have immediate success. Fortunately there are people out there who'd love to give you their take. Anybody who says different needs to be reminded that it's just a game and need to take it, and possibly themselves, a little less seriously.

There isn't anything wrong with it, I agree, but the reason I did say it was because he created an effective 10th or 12th level monk on his own. It's probably the hardest class to tune to perfection, and if he can do that, I'd rather him look through what's available before him before asking....but that's just my opinion anyways.

But just because he was able to design another character well does not mean he has a good idea of what to do with a completely different class. It also seems to me that he has done his research on 'what's available', he just needs some help tying up loose ends.
