Vampire disease with Infamy

Post by Pita »

Hi, i've gotten the vampire disease and i really don't want it to evolve to full blown vampire, cause then i'd have to run around for the soul gems and the garlic..
however im playing the thief/assasin role, so i can't get blessed at the alters, is there any other way to get rid of this? My saving doesn't go back to before me contracting the disease so i don't have any time to raise my fame.
Help please!

you can try to find a spell or a potions that cures the dissease.. ..IF it still is a dissease and not yet vampirism.
Playing on the PC:
The Witcher (Currently deïnstalled)
Fable TLC (Currently deïnstalled)
Oblivion + SI + all DCL

(Possible Minor Spoilers: Highlight Entire Post to reveal) Apparently, if you sleep after 3 full game days following actually contracting Porphyric Hemophilia, your character will turn into a full fledged Vampire. You can however, cure Porphyric Hemophilia prior to becoming a full fledged Vampire by going to any one of the local Churches and I believe you "Pray at the Altar" and are "Cured of all of your afflictions". What I have done, is, after realizing that I have fully contracted Vampirism (trust me, you'll know if you try and sleep, 3 days following Porphyric Hemophilia) has been to "Not Sleep" after the 3 game days have passed and immediately gone to a church and "Repented My Sins" to cure the Porphyric Hemophilia. After "Praying at the Altar" you should be able to sleep as normal without fully contracting Vampirism.

If However, you do fully contract Vampirism, you can supposedly complete a rather extensive quest that can cure it. To initiate the quest, again go to a church and talk to someone and they will basically explain to you what needs to be done to be cured.

Supposedly, there are some benefits to contracting Vampirism: One of which is great Strength. But depending on your gameplay, the Cons may out weigh the benefits.
