can't start fighter's guild quests

Post by LoneStar »

I am trying to start the fighters guild quests, but I don't get the dialoge options. my base class is a fighter. then I got my second tier class as a mage. then i took the shugenja class. as near as I could tell the shugenja class is a second tier mage class. does anyone know why I am not able to join the fighters guild. Any help is appreciated.

what did you already have? theres 5 total... 2 1st tier 2 2nd tier 1 3rd tier

if u want the 2nd tier class, u gotta complete the 1st tier class for it so.

what do u have??

EDIT: unless sisterhood quest.

If you created your character as a fighter, then you should be able to join the Fighter's Guild no matter wat classes you've subsequently chosen. Did you exhaust all dialogue options with Grunmeir in Fargrove?

yeah, i went through and clicked on all the options again. normally when you click on the guild of fighters one, is when you get the option to join. but now all it does is tell me a bout the guild of fighters. too clear things up. i have base fighter class, mage first tier, and shugenja as my second tier mage class. i hope that makes more sense than my orginal post. I will go through and try the all the diologe options again though just to make sure that I didn't miss one.

Unless you go directly to the shop in Fargrove and join the fighter's guild, you're out of luck. The old guy will see you've already joined another guild and will tell you that you can't joing his guild!!!

so, if I am understanding this correctly. I am completely out of luck since I have already joined another guild. Even though i only have the two first tier and one second tier class. If that is so that would suck. but, atleast I would know why I have the problem I do. thanks for the help.

I've never heard of this being the case, but it would explain what happened to LoneStar.

LoneStar: Even if you can't join the Fighter's Guild, you should be able to work with the Eastern Houses and pick up their fighter classes.

I am not sure if this is all part of the same glitch or whatever it is. but even though I have two first tier classes it still gives me the option to join the the guild of mystery or the celestial order. it let me do the quests and everything for the guild of mystery. so I am really not sure what is going on now.

There is a pre-pre-quest for the Guild of Mystery that anyone can do. Once you have done that, it opens up the real initialization quest. Go ahead and do that first quest, and you will see you can't really join.

well, I got the custard map then, I went to vartuug and gave the map there then I picked ranger and it said I met all of the requierments and said to go and fight some beast and then return. Is that still all part of the initiation quests? I am still fairly new at this game so I am not sure.

You're past the initiation quest in the Guild of Mystery now. You're officially in the guild.

It sounds like you encountered some weird bug in your game. Hopefully that's the last one you see.

It occurrs to me that LoneStar might have been asked to join the fighters guild the first time, but accidentally selected "No thanks, and don't ever ask me again," dialogue option.

That would explain why it doesn't appear anymore too.

You did the same thing as me, you clicked it to fast and accidently said, "No, and don't ever ask me again!" so your boned.

That would make the most sense, but it still allowed me to have three first tier classes.I did click through it very fast so I would suspect that is what happened. thanks for the input.

Welcome lol, you should remember to make multiple save files due to glitches and human error.
