Major Economic Exploit! It's Unbelievable

Post by Cold Fury »

Alright i have a bargain skill of 5 and an honor lvl of 54, and i was in mage alistor's shop going to buy and sell some magic spells, when i went to sell a fire nova and realized that i can sell for more then it costs me to buy.

I dont know if this is a glitch unique to my game, or all CE Versions, but it is incredibly unfair in about 4 minutes i literally went from 600 gold to about 180k gold and then from there..... i'm only lvl 14 and not even half way through the game and i have 120 shards of stone, just to put that into perspective to you... it is unbelieveable how incomplete some parts of this game are. That glitch takes alot of the fun out of the game. I highly suggest beating the game once before doing this. The same goes for the saved game editor.

there is also a way to double your money, or almost double.

if you buy the highest price runes from that crazy mage in the northlands, the blue and yellow ones that go for 5000-6000 gold, then go to arindale's temple which has the highest prices, and sell them all to him.

if you have 600 000 gold, spend it on runes, then sell em to arindale, youll have around 1 200 000 gold. and then you can double your money again.

i think in the end the choice comes up to the gamer if they want to spoil their game or not, you can either use the editor or things like these to make yourself gold, make a super character and remove the challenge.

i think any real gamer knows not to use these things, or at least to extremes, i sold runes back and forth a couple times to make some extra cash.

i kinda feel that buying the runes and selling them at a higher price is just good marketing, but the fact the game lets you buy from the same store and resell at a higher price...well...its a deal....its a deal...its a deal...i always thought that mage in fargrove sounded kinda dumb anyways :)

it was kinda like the first elder scrolls game for pc, if i remember right, you could just press tab, then put the game into god mode anytime, or i do know for sure you could edit your character stats whenever you wanted, while playing the game. this bugged me, it was just too easy and tempting to do, especially when you fought a really hard battle, and you thought, hmm, maybe ill just edit my character just this once....

so it think these things are just like that, its up to you if you want to use them, there will always be editors made for games

Yeah!

I know those things too, some game have basically no hacking / bug / glich defence (like some versions of countersttrike, it was a HELL in multiplayer) while other don't even have tricks or sweetspots at some places of the game to let people use their wits and find them, that's unfair too. Games like that usually have extreme enemies (I've got Firewarrior and thos Chaos marines are a PAIN!)
