Disappearing Soul Gems
Is it my imagination, or in MW did you just recycle soul gems? I sold a bunch early in the game empty before I got my soul trap spell but now I notice that they disappear after you use them. I sure thought that in MW it just emptied out and could be reused. Now it appears for OB that only Azura's can be "reused"?

Yeah, unfortunately, it seems like you can only use a Soul Gem once. Once you recharge a weapon by releasing the soul captured within the Gem, the Gem appears to break and disappear from your inventory.
And God bless the Daedric Shrine loot and it's "Unbreakableness"! Azura's Star and the Skeleton Key have made life in Oblivion all that much more enjoyable.

My memory of Morrowind is that they vanished as well. Yeah....I particularly remember being happy when Tribunal came out because it provided a reliable place to buy gems.
Another thing about Oblivion - once you sell stuff in stores, it does NOT remain in the shopkeepers inventory to buy back later - at least not for very long.

That is definitely true. That is the problem I am having now. I think I accidentally sold the cursed mace and it wasn't there when I went back.
