I don't know if this has been addressed before, but one thing that I find really annoying is that EVERYONE will talk to me! Even though I am dressed in rags found on goblins I am actually allowed into the finest stores without being booted out. Beautiful women strangers stop and spend as much time as I like while I improve my Speechcraft.
This rarely happens to me at the grocery store. Most women I talk to at the grocery store are at least a bit suspicious and some actually hostile (OK I haven't actually tested this scientifically).
After just escaping from prison, penniless except for some rat meat and dressed in rags hardly anyone would speak to me, and their only acknowledgment of my presence would be to alert the guards that an undesirable like myself was harassing the locals. I would be kicked out of the city from the start. A truer experience would be that I would not even be allowed in the city but would have to spend some time in the woods hunting and earning what I could until I could afford a haircut and a decent suit of clothes.
It would at least be nice to have a "realistic" option.
I'm not putting the game down, because its great, but I think this would add some more challenge and fun to the overall experience. To talk to the pretty lady you gotta earn the right to do so ...
One really annoying thing about Oblivion

We already have a thread for complaints about anything other than bugs in Oblivion. Please check the first or second pages--it's in frequent use--and post there.

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
