Necromancers Moon Problems (mage guild quest)

Post by buknekkid »

Doing the quest i fast travelled to Vahtacen and then travelled via horse to the dark fissure cave, but when i get there, there is noone at the altar. I was confused and so i snuck into the cave thinking maybe the map marker didnt change or something, and saw the worm anchorite. I dont think he saw me and then i decided to go back outside. Ive tried travelling away and coming back on foot but still nothing. I also tried it without the end result of the thieves guild quests (avoiding a spoiler). I read the walkthrough and im not sure what i did wrong if i did. I have no idea what to do now. Plz help me!
There are three types of people in this world: Those who can count and those who can't.

dark fissure ah? Well this is how I did it - hid outside, waited for the night. No light upon the altar on first one, waited 24 hours, no light etc. Eventually within 7 days there will be light on altar, and a necro casting. You just have to wait ... and wait ... and wait...
And He whispered to me in the darkness as we lay together, Tell Me where to touch you so that I can drive you insane; tell Me where to touch you to give you ultimate pleasure, tell Me where to touch you so that we will truly own each other. And I kissed Him softly and whispered back, Touch my mind.

...or you could kill all the necromancers in the cave, and one of them will have a note/book that describes the procedure.

This will be also accepted as evidence to complete the quest.
