Greetings!
I just got the game a few days ago, and I'm enjoying it. I've been playing a ranger/blade character, but was looking more towards the Mage playstyle.
Anyway, is there any difference between the lower and higher spell animations? For example, I've heard that it's the same simple fireball animation for an Apprentice fire spell and an Expert or higher lvl fire spell. One would expect that more powerful spells have more eye-dazzling awe-inspiring animations to match the equally beautiful world of Oblivion!
Thanks in advance for any answers.
Spell Animations
The one thing you can do to make spell casting more fun is to make your spells have an area of effect, this increases the size of your explosion, and gives yout he advantage of being able to move objects (Bears, Books, wayward children) over long distances. try shooting a fireball in 5 ft. at a book shelf, great fun.
If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him.

I've yet to find a better way to clear a table of whatevers on it than by a lightning burst spell.
But yeah, the spell effects are incredibly crap considering the graphical quality of everything else in the game.
