Items You Can't Live Without

Post by Deadalready »

Well here's a thread to just share with everyone item's you've made or found that have made life so much easier that you couldn't imagine a game without them.

By the way my items no doubt are poor in comparison to everyone else's cause I'm new to the game.

For me:

Absolute Enslavery (Custom Chitin Gloves)
Cast Soul Trap on Target 66 seconds.
8 Charge per use with 195 charges available.
-Soul trapping is so much easier with such a cheap way to cast, I usually fire a shot at a distant enemy, then follow up with an arrow or a spell to trap instantly. I can kill Bull Netchs in the distance like this while standing on the upper levels of Vivce, easy 1000 gold everytime with so much ease it's unbelievable. I'm still amazed that I could fit an enchantment like this on such shoddy gloves (at a low price too).

Illumina (Custom Exquisite Shirt)
Constant Restore Fatigue 1
Constant Nighteye 50% at 50 range
-The game at times is just too dark, it bites to have to cast spells like Nigheye every 30 seconds too.

Siren Hunter (Custom Bonemold Bow)
Constant Fortify Strength 2
Constant Walk on Water
-I can see how Jesus knew what he was doing. This bow has made life travelling so much easier, if only I could avoid Cliff Racers like I do Slaughter fish.

Belt of Soaring (Exquisite Belt)
Levitate 1 point at 155 seconds.
Cast (?) Charges (?)
-All I know is I can get in the range of 10 uses out of it before it depletes, I've never had it deplete mind you. It's kinda slow, but in some situations it's not the speed that matters but the duration that does, this belt fits the bill perfectly. It costed about 20,000 to make early on, but after that, I went Daedric rune hunting all over the world.
Warning: logic and sense is replaced by typos and errors after 11pm
Spoiler
, it has yet to return

Necromancers amulet - such a powerful item for a mage like character :)

As for made items, my pants of restoration - 8 points restore to every attribute at once. Means you can sell all those stupid potions that you end up carrying around lol.

Ok, I'll bite... what type of pants will hold "restore attribute" of every type?

Custom Daedric Shield of Constant Regeneration - Made my healing spells obsolete.

(insert daedric item) of Constant Fortify strength (nothing can hold you after that).

Constant Effect Exquisite belt of flight (reasons discussed)

There are others. I've made a sword that dealt elemental damage for a quite long time. And a boot that casted night eye (but I've almost never used it, except with a mod that increased the overall darkness).
Flesh to stone ain't permanent, it seems.

I make a lot of enchanted items in this game.

Charm Amulet (expensive grade)
- Fortify personality 100 points for 3 seconds. 3 seconds is all you need to use the amulet and start a conversation.

Light Amulet (exquisite grade)
- Constant effect nighteye, 25 points. Assign a quick use number, and it makes turning on the lights as easy as turning on car headlights.

Soultrap Amulet (expensive grade)
- Soultrap for 90 seconds in 30 feet on target. The long duration is nice.

Health Amulet (expensive grade)
- Restore health 63 points

Ascadian Isles Shirt and Pants (exquisite grade)
- Constant effect strength +12

Belt and Rings of Ogrim Strength (exquisite grade)
- Constant effect strength

I make about 13 special enchanted weapons ('cause I like 'em), and I carry them around with me.

I rely on the Boots of the Apostle for levitation.

Exquisite pants. By attribute this does not include fatigue or health as they are not attribute. I have a pair in all 3 games I currently have saved so its definately possible :)

thanks for the reply - on further thought, I was confusing 'constant enhance attribute' spells with 'restore attribute' spells... two very different things...

(I was hoping there were 'super pants' out there... (mega-enchant points)

I am wearing the expensive clothes (pants, shirt, belt) that the wastrel in Ald-Rhun gave me to return to the merchants - they enchant real good... the down side it the quests are never over...

I am really attached to my daedric tower shield with constant effect 'fortify strength 45 points' - really makes hauling treasure much easier!

yeah its just the normal restore attribute effects, not constant effect or fortify attribute. its still handy though as its just like having a constant supply of restore attribute potions lol.

for holding enchantments the clothes can hold more depending on their quality: normal hold the least, then expensive, then extravagent, then exquisite. The best item of apparel to enchant (IMO) is the exquiste amulet or the exquisite ring (if you can find them) as they hold a lot of enchantment :)

If you are talking "Cannot Live Without", only the Amulets of Mark and Recall, and the Amulet of Mighty Blows.

Items I can't live without:

*amulet of aviation: constant effect flight
*ring of health and miracles: 4 points regenerate health, walk on water, constant effect
*diver's blessing: exquisite ring, constant effect water breathing, swift swim and light (I prefer light over night eye, it tends to be reflective rather than washing everything out)
*staff of toxic grip: ebony staff enchanted with poison and paralyse, cast on strike.... this is one nice weapon :p

Parachute pants - slowfall 10pts CE
Marara's ring
Necromancers amulet
Amulets of mark, recall, almvsi and divine intervention
Plus a tower shield (usually daedric) with a couple of points restore health and the rest fortifying strength.

Plus Hircine's ring is pretty nice - it enchants like an exquisite ring plus there's the other effect...

I can't believe that no one's put the two best possible items in the game yet.

The Royal Signet Ring and the Boots of blinding speed. I'm immune to all harmful magic and I have a speed of over 300, making me ridiculously fast.
I know everything about Morrowind.

I don't really count the boots as an item I couldn't live without though - if I play anything other than a Breton I just sell the things as they are too much hassle with the whole blind thing.

Another item I like when playing as a Telvanni is an exquisite amulet with as much constant effect levitation as possible. Combine this with an exquisite ring with as much constant effect speed as possible and an exquisite ring with constant effect invisibility and you can just explore the entire countryside at your own leisure without having to worry about people/creatures distracting you lol.

Signet ring is difficult to obtain, and IIRC its only resist magicka, not reflect/absorb... So I prefer atronach with necromancers amulet, marara's ring and wraithguard (absorb 75%, reflect 30%)...

Royal Signet Ring:

Regenerate 10 health per second
100% REFLECT Magic
Immune to paralyzation

And it's not that hard to get. Just kill King Helseth after doing the Mournhold Quest.

As for the Boots, there's a lot of easy ways to prevent the blindness.

1. Be a Breton.

2. Put the Cuirass of the Savior's hide on, then the boots, then put on your normal cuirass.

3. Wear the Royal Signet Ring.

4. Make a spell that resists magicka for one second and then put them on.

I mean, come on, it's 200 extra speed.
I know everything about Morrowind.

Everything.

200 extra speed is not always worth it - it depends on your character. I role play more than power game and if I play as a mage etc. I don't really equip them with boots as they wouldn't wear them. My other character I have going at the moment is a custom build Paladin and my character is only wearing Heavy Armour so again, she would not wear the boots even though she is a Breton. If I want to travel long distances quickly I just buy Windwalker scrolls. Personally though I quite like just leisurely walking around exploring things.

As for the Signet Ring, personally i think its more beneficial to absorb the magic rather than reflect it. Therefore I agree with the stuff GregtheSleeper uses as I use the same stuff lol.

For me, it breaks lore, so it's a no-no... I'd only kill Helseth for his robe... :D What? It's a nice robe...
