This forum is to be used for all discussions pertaining to Bethesda Softworks' The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and its Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansion packs.
For a post like this, which gives away a piece of information insidethe game, you really need to put SPOILER in the title, just as the sticky thread says. I'll change this one, but you've been around long enough now to know how that works. You'll be expected to do it yourself in the future.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
Where did you find it in the St. Delyn canton exactly? What was the name of the body? Was the corpse there already, or did you kill them? What is the key called? Are you running any mods?
If you answer some of those, maybe I can help. Or maybe someone else will know what you mean.
I find keys all the time that I have no idea what they are used for lol - I just assume they are for locks I must already have picked. I wouldn't worry too much about it as I don't know of any locks that can only be opened by a key.
It's part of a theives guild quest for gentleman jim stacey.

Your right about the spoilers Fable my bad. the name of the key is Nods Tharen's key, he was dead when i entered one of those small appartments in st dreyns compound in vivic.
nah he was in some appartment like north 1 or south 2 ect. that is why im confused he was laying on ground and there was nothing to unlock in his room , he was also a dark elf, green robe. i dont know maybe im just trippin but when i found the key in one guys room it unlocked some vaults in vivic thats why im wandering . maybe it is a theifs guild quest like mentioned earlier in this thread.
