Hey good news if you are a Stealth player and use Obfuscate.
I have always hated the Green Fog, the 20 frame rate hit and the Autofail everytime you touch trash, at level 5 you should be able to touch anything except a NPC.
The Green Fog problem was solved by a guy in Gamespy mod forum by typing in the console, cl_overlay_obfuscate_scale and setting it to 0, tried to do a search but you know Gamespy searches.
The 20 frame rate has persisted, until now (well afaik) to eliminate this problem type in the console, cl_obfuscate_daylight and set it to 0. :WOOT:
Now, if only we could solve the Autofail for touching trash at level five.
Anyway Enjoy!
Solved, mystery of Obfuscate frame rate problems. :)

Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language...they're not even real words as much as a succession of violent images.

Ive never had any problems with obfuscate at all, i have an Athlon 64 3000+, 1Gb (PC3200) RAM and a PNY Verto GeForce 6600GT (128Mb).
The one thing that does annoy be about Obfuscate is that the timer still goes down even when there is nobody around, therefore nobody to stay hidden from. Seems to me that the timer should only go down when there is someone around who would notice you if obfuscate wasnt active.

Well it's amatter of total frame rate hit, most everyone gets the 10 - 20 frame rate hit but if you have a very powerful machine then obvioulsy it won't be as noticable, most because if yoru getting 80 fps and get a 10 - 20 hit you really don't/won't notice it but when the game came out 2 years ago, they didn't have as powerful video cards.
I think when the game came out the Nvida 6800 was the fastest card which was also effected as ran on most machines in 20 - 30 range in bad areas, so this will be obviolsy a relitive issue, none the less this is the cure.
