How many houses are you allowed to have at the same time?

Hello.

As far as I know: unlimited, apart from the houses you can buy you can also kill the inhabitants of the house and it will then become for sale...

i have personaly owned multiple homes in multiple towns and there always seems to be a new place to get but i keep killing villagers so its kind of lonely

You can also just lead them out of town.. I accidently did that with Scarlet, and she would not follow me back into town..

I own a couple of houses in Bowerstone. Not legit mind you, but I've had a couple of fights with some insulting families which eventually all wound up dead and their houses and propety falling into my hands... Heh-he-heeh...

Yeah, I think it's possible to own every house in teh game with a copper colored icon.

there are some houses that you cant buy(but could in the original)
like the knothole glade chiefs house.

i own every possible house in the game.
