When I try to go on expedition with Hrothgar, game stops and it asks me to put in CD2 and it doesn't have any effect. I do have original IWD, and cds seem to work just fine otherwise. I don't have original HoW, maybe that's the problem?
Is there any way to avoid switching CDs?
---------------
Maybe I found an error. My MVEfile2.bif on CD2/DATA folder seems to be damaged. Could it be the cause?
I know it's pretty big, about 140 MB, but if anyone would be willing to help me and send me that file I would be most grateful.
You can contact me trough private message, ICQ, or I could give you my mail adress.
Or maybe someone knows a link so I could download the file.
Thank you.

Did you get an error message saying that file is damaged? How do you know the file is damaged? Chances are it could be some dirt on the CD that is preventing that file from being read so try cleaning the CD first.
Also, try it without your copy of HOW installed and see if it works then as that could easily be the problem if its not an original CD.
As for bypassing the CD changing - when you installed did you get an option for full installation? Its been a while since I installed IWD so I can't remember if it has that option. If it does then you should be able to install the entire thing onto your PC so you no longer need the CD changes.

I suspect the file is damaged because i can't copy it manually, an error pops out. Suprisingly, I can install it without a problem. After installation i actually have that file in my CD2 folder but it doesn't have 142.63 MB, it has about 5MB. And CD Roller has trouble with the file. I think some moron scratched it when I borrowed it, it has pretty visible marks on it. HoW doesn't and I didn't have problems with It. Actually I just finished it from earlier save in what i have already finished IWD: original, so I guess it's ok.
About installation, I've done full, and applied all patches, IWD and HoF both.

If MVEfile2.bif is just a movie the following thing might work:
- do a full install
- make a copy of another movie file, rename it to MVEfile2.bif and replace the original file. It should display the wrong movie but work fine otherwise.
If this doesn't work you can use an old savegame from the beginning of Kuldahar pass or another early one. Replace the old party members with the new ones you exported before leaving Easthaven. The little XP difference doesn't matter in the long run and there are opportunities to even this out by fighting endlessly respawning monsters.
If you don't have an earlier save you can use the cheat console to teleport your party to Kuldahar Pass or Kudahar.

Although, it is unfortunate that i can't see the movie. IWD ones are my favourite.
I was thinking of buying new copy of the game but problem is I live in Croatia, and not a single shop sells it anymore. They think it's obsolete. Any of you guys know some dealer that would ship it to Croatia?
And if any of you finds that MOVfile2.bif somewhere on the internet and doesn't know what to do with it, I'm the guy to contact.
Thanks.
