Control console

Post by Darnell Ribspli »

Is there a list of commands, etc for the control console, and if so, where?
The only command I know is to GiveXP, since I have a bug in which I don't normally get XP for 'boss' encounters. Really, I'm mostly looking for a way to get gold or to increase skill scores such as open lock and find traps. I want to solo, but don't want to bring a rogue (already been there and done that).

That doesn't explain how to set or change skill ranks or feats; if you can change something as insignificant as character age you have to be able to do those, no?

This is the official list of console commands:
Neverwinter Nights: Console Commands

I have not used them much, so I don't know which to use for what you request.

Hrrm. There is a list of 'character-related' cheats that basically change your stats:

SetSTR # ( strength)
SetCHA # ( charisma )
SetDEX # ( dexterity )
SetCON # (constitution )
SetINT # (intelligence )
SetWIS # (wisdom )

Replace # with any number. Watch your character sheet to see how it changes things.

Then there's gold: dm_givegold # (replace # with amount) for gold.

I've never seen a list of cheats that let you edit your skills, though, but I'd be curious to see one just for the heck of it. If you want to solo without a rogue, though, why not take the Pixie familiar? Familiars aren't meant to be used as combat fodder, anyway, and the Pixie is fairly good when it comes to open chests. You've also the possibility to spend a few skill points in spellcraft to let your character use magi scrolls like Knock or Find Traps.

also, once you hit the '~' key to enter the console, you can hit the tab button multiple times to scroll through a list of available commands.
