while playing, i was a vampire through the dark brotherhood, went out and completely the quest to cure vampirism. the thing with this is, when i went to collect the 5k reward at the end, the one who goes to get the count for me is still standing next to the bed where his wife dies. she tells me "please wait while i go get the count" and doesnt move. so i never finished that quest, which was okay with me, i had 16k at the time, money wasnt truely needed or essential. later, on the dark brotherhood quest, cleaning out the cheydinhall sanctuary of everyone in it i talked to the vampire guy(sorry, i forgot names) he gave me an update on curing vampirism by telling me to visit the count,,, which ive already done. i dont knwo if that will effect anything, but im just throwing that in there. later, the mage questline leads me back to the count, and this is where it troubles me
i cant get to the count! the same person is supposed to get the count for me, and she is still standing there next to the bed his wife dies on. i cant find the count, so i cant finish the mage questline or even progress further. can anyone help me? as i said i can do without the vampirism reward, and ill even rerun the questline if i must, i sold all my grand soul gems to a specific npc so i can buy them back, and getting the other items wouldnt be too hard. please help, and thank you.

yes i had the very same problem with the woman standing next to the dead body and not moving.. it happened when i just waited for 24hours in the same place the counts wife dies. i tried leaving it for a while and returning but no joy.. in the end i relaoded an earlier game and once the counts wife dies left the area and returned and found her in the castle hall where she asks you to wait.. just wait there and he should appear after a few hours. worked for me anyhow.. def a glitch there tho
ended up finding the actual count, he was in his room, believe it or not, his legs sunk into his beg, and he was trying to run/walk. when i talked to him it freed him. it allows me to continue on with mage guild quests, but sadly no 5k for vampirism quest. ohh well to that, but would anyone know how to get it out of my quest log book, so i can be done with it?

Dude, I had the exactly same problem. I didn't get my reward for the vampirism quest, because Hal-Liurz (the one who calls the count) decided to go for a trip in the mountains. At the beginning I thought the count is hiding in a secret cave, or something, but after a few days I realized that something isn't right, and she'll never call the count. So I pickpocket her and took the key to the count's room. It didn't work, because the count was (still) very very sad about his wife, and he always told me to go away.
The key helped me in the dark brotherhood mission, because you don't have to talk with Hal Liurz in order to continue with the quest.
About your problem- If you want to complete the mission without getting the reward, it's not complicated. all you need to do is click the `~` button (above the TAB) and type "player.setstage 0003E933 100" and ENTER.

At the beginning I thought the count is hiding in a secret cave, or something, but after a few days I realized that something isn't right, and she'll never call the count. So I pickpocket her and took the key to the count's room. It didn't work, because the count was (still) very very sad about his wife, and he always told me to go away.

Oh, yeah, the money glitch.
I think I was on lvl 2 when I got the vampirism. I remember that everything was new to me. I barly knew where to find garlics. I didn't know what is nightshade, and it was impossible to find bloodgrass without doing the mission in Kvatch. I stole at least 100 soul gems, but none of them was a grand one. It was the hardest mission I've ever done, because my low level. The only thing that gave me the will to go on, was the money glich .
But in the end, I didn't get it too. (see the subject of the thread..)
