Is there anyway for a fighter to get high Magicka?

Post by Madd069 »

Curing char creation, I chose everything that would suit a strong fighter character. Now I find, using magic can be somewhat fun, and I was just wondering if there was any way possible to get more than 110 Magicka for my character. If I could get 300, Id be happy, 500 and Id be thrilled.
Since I ask quite a few questions, I thought it might be nice to have an important detail in my sig.

I have Oblivion for 360!

This mght clear up some posts in my topics.

Hah! While you're dreaming, why don't you ask for a Lamborghini?
All kidding aside, though, I've been trying to figure out how to make Fortify Magicka potions and enchanted items. I think that's the only way.
Having said that, you probably should go for Fortify Intelligence potions first, because the higher your intelligence, the stronger your potions. Hence, high Intelligence = strong fortify Magicka potions = more magicka. I strongly doubt that there is an upper limit. In MW I had fortify Magicka potions that would jack my magicka by 1000 points and more. Finding ingredients is the tricky bit.

And remember that your magicka is 2 x intelligence (aside from any race bonus etc).

I do not know if boosting your intelligence through potions increases your magicka too.

It does, but only for as long as the potion lasts. Which is true for Fortify Magica potions as well.

Best bet is probably a spell of Fortify Magica (Restoration Journeyman level), and then enchant an item using that spell. I've not yet done that myself, so no idea how effective it would be.

Same problem here with starting Magicka at 200. I enchanted some armor once I closed several Oblivion Gates and received a few of the Sigil Stones that Fortify Magicka by 50. It is a constant effect as long as I am wearing the armor.
