Tactics Problem

Post by snoopyofour »

Ok, I'm fairly new to the modding world and this is nuts. I installed tactics and shortly later I installed Chloe. Doing this has somehow messed with somewhere close to two dozen dialogues and even item descriptions. For instance, when I talk to Improved Ilyich he tells me that he loves me and wants to marry me and I'm going to have to choose between him and Chloe (this is regardless of the gender of my pc) to which I always respond that we should solve the problem by having a threesome. It was funny the first couple of times but now I'd like to see what's actually said there, especially since this is the most challenging fight in the tactics mod. The first time Irenicus professed his undying love for me in hell, I was flattered but now I would like some explanation as to why I'm fighting a dragon. And finally when I encounter Koraisan the conversation consists of several empty dialogue boxes followed by my non-choice of "I think not." Apparently I'm left to assume that everything Koraisan needed to say, he got across with body language and that whatever gesticulations he used were so offensive that my character would not even think of giving him Celestial Fury. And now the katana that he carries has absolutely no name and no description. Is there anyone who knows what's going on?

Mod conflicts. You may have installed them on the wrong order. I dont know the exact mix for chloe and tactics, but you may have to uninstall both, re install and start a new game. The readme section of the mods usually will tell you which mod to install before.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Are there going to be any adverse effects to my saved games if I uninstall and then reinstall the mods?

They can potentially mess your savegames. I've always restarted the game after such bugs, so I cant tell you that it will work, but it may work yes.

Another problem I'm having is with installing Hubbleport (whatever his name is, the vegetable merchant). Everytime I run the setup program it goes for a while, then tells me that access is denied and shutsdown.
