Taking Char from PC to PC

Post by Nmag »

Hello,

1.

Could somebody give me some tips on how to move the player file(s) from one pc to another please?

I play BG on my laptop while travelling and would like to put the character on my home pc so I can play the char on either.

Can i save the char to a usb stick and move it back and forth from computers?

I will have a look for the char file and see if I can work it out myself.

2.

If you have a link to a really good walk through, that would be handy too.

3.

Thank you :)

You can copy the save maps in the Baldur's Gate\Saves folder to and from your USB stick, yes. But for them to work on two pc's you'll need to have installed the exact same patch and mods on both, otherwise you might get errors

Game Banshee has a nice walkthrough on its BGI section.

I highly recommend that you do not use it your first few times through as knowing whats around every corner is a real spoiler. I am very happy that I never knew about any walkthroughs when I first started.

Keep it new for a while.
:) Once again time to give someone the boot to make room for Coran. LOL :)
