I am using the Improved No-Glow mod because I hate that shiny plastic-wrap effect that results from enchantments. I equally dislike that damned purple egg with the bouncing star particles that you get from the Shield spell.
Hence I'd also like to add the No Shield Effect mod to eliminate the problem.
However, I'm not absolutely certain these two mods would work together. Does anyone know?
If it helps, here are the readme descriptions:
Improved No Glow
This mod does two things:
1) Removes the "plastic" or "saran wrap" effect from all enchanted items.
2) Allows "Detect" spells such as "Detect Enchantment" and "Detect Animal"
to work as they should.
However, what makes this mod different from other mods that also remove this
"plastic" effect is that this mod does not interfere with "Detect" spells
such as "Detect Enchantment" and "Detect Animal." When you cast a "Detect"
spell in the vicinity of something it detects a colored circle should appear
on your map. Other mods that remove the "plastic" effect from enchantments
cause those circles to either not appear at all or appear as a dark circle
which is often very difficult to see on the map. This mod does not have that
problem and "Detect" spells will work as they should.
NoShieldEffect Plugin
From the Morrowind Launcher, select Data Files and check the box
next to the NoShieldEffect.esp file.
This plugin will disable the egg-like Shield effect and reduce the
glow around items that have been enchanted with the Shield spell.
Shield effects that were already active in your saved game will
remain until the duration of the spell expires. New shield spells
will not display the effect.
If you are wearing items with constant effect Shield, re-equip
them to remove the effect.
Gah... @ Fable, could you please correct the typo in the title please? Yes... I'm anal

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
If they are just texture replacers you should be ok.
Back everything up, then try load them in. If they don't work change the load order. If they still dont work, then uninstall one.
Yes, that is what I was thinking, it's the only way to find out. *sigh* I have way too many backups of my MW files...
@Magelord, they are more than texture replacers, they contain esps as well, and one (can't remember which) also has a mesh folder.
You could use TESAME. Just a thought. Would it work?
I have no idea.... And I'm a bit inept when it comes to using any of those tools...
That being said though, I should probably take a look into it So thanks for the suggestion.
