Petrification...What do you do?

Post by Hex92 »

Last night one of my NPCs (Jaheria?) was petrified by a beholder in the Underdark. I was at a loss as to what I should do to bring her back. If someone gets turned to stone then I could use the earth elemental control ring since it has stone to flesh once/day. But that didn't work. So I just re-loaded and fought the battle over. It solved my problem, but not the way I would have liked.

What spell do you cast to dispell petrification?

stone to flesh should have worked, after you cast it, you have to walk up to them and ask them to rejoin your party
I would be a serial killer if i didn't have such a strong distaste for manual labor

Thats what I thought, since thats what I did last time. But when I tried to use the ring on the petrified character the spell symbol was greyed out.

the ring may only have one charge and can no longer cast it, if the symbol was greyed out, there was somethign off with the ring not the stone to felsh. that spell will work....you may have to get a scroll if you don't have anyoen that can cast it

I believe reloading is the best solution when a party member gets petrified. At least, there seems to be problems with the romances as the petrified character consider him/herself removed from the party.
