Kicking Kangaxx Ass

Post by fatcow15 »

Hey! I completely wiped out Kangaxx, even before my trip to the Assylum. The average lvl of my characters is about 12. No one really has that much HP, and I pretty much only used three characters to kick his ass. I just got my thief to set about 7-8 traps, to kill his first form. Then I got my mage, pumped up with tons of resistances. She (aerie), you spell immunity (abjuration), and casted a simalcrum. She had the ring of ram on, so both of them rammed Kangaxx's 2nd form. He was pretty hurt, and then I just got the two of them to cast Melf's Meteor Shower, which works wonders, it doesnt do a whole lot of damamge, 1-2 on a hit, but it stops him from casting lots of spells. I just shoved in my PC, Paladin guy, to finish him off. Easy as cake, no one lost a hit point, except Minsc died near the end, that was a miscalculation, but otherwise, everybody should be fine, if I can do it, you can do it, bye, good luck. Oh yeah, do you think Twisted Ruins is harder than Kangaxx? Cause I want to do both before I leave.

fatcow15,

Kangaxx is pretty much bait if you have spell immunity to abjuration going. The twisted rune is WAAAAAAAAAAY harder. There are some strategies for knocking them over but I'd try it the 'hard way' first. One peice of advice though (not really a spoiler) do a quick save before you open the door. There is a bug which means that if you rely on the autosave you need to find ANOTHER rogue stone to get in the second/third/... time. - Curdis

I thought the demi-lich was harder than Twisted Rune, but if you have a good strategy neither is real hard. If you use a Traps strategy, you can take out the main man in the Twisted Rune at the start, and the rest can be handled after that with "reasonable" ease. Image

Freaking BIG miscalculation! I'd also say he lost a few HP aswell!
