Ok,ok i know, i suck at this game. But i need lotsa lotsa lotsa lotsa help with the last gate. At the battle before it opens i pretty much used up all my health potions, and i go into the great gate and i have a little more than half health, but that's not what im worrying about...I'M LOST!!!!
I go into the gate and i can get to the main tower-thing but the door is on the other side of one of those gate thingy's and i'm not sure if i have enough time to find the damn switch for it cuz i have about 10 miniutes to close it!, so if anyone could help by a) Explaining very well ('cause im bad with instructions) or b) possibly find me a video with someone else doing this so i can see. I went on youtube.com and i got close to finding one but didn't and i doubt they will have one on ifilm.com and i've also checked gamexplain.com with videos but there is none of oblivion...can someone pleaaase help!?
p.s i'm also kind of annoyed cuz my two favourite guys died in the battle. Jauffre and Baurus
Need serious help with th great oblivion gate! *SPOILER*
Maybe this will help you (taken from here) :
"A giant siege engine is approaching the gate from this side. You have to get to Great Sigil Stone before it reaches your world. You’ve got 15 minutes. Go inside World Breaker Guard through the door on the right. Get on the platform and hit the mechanism to go up. Go to the top and leave through the door. Cross the bridge to another tower, then go down to the middle level and go out. Jump across the broken bridge. There is a path on the right that’ll lead you to the next tower. Follow it, avoiding the fire from turrets. If you don’t manage to jump across, go left to enter a short dungeon. Either way you’ll eventually end up in of the two identical towers. Go to the top and use the lever to open the gate. Go outside (through the middle-level door) and run to the main tower.
Go to Vaults of End Times. Defeat a Sigil Keeper and take his key. Go upwards until you reach Sigillum Sanguis. Touch the stone. It’s over, you’ve won this battle. Bruma is safe."

But the really good thing is, i don't know how but, (i started the mission again on a different save) NONE and i mean ZERO of my men died so...WOO!!! but i have one question, when you get out and martin starts talking to you, what is he talking about when he says "The portal will close behind you, so take everything you need" ?

Ah!!!!!
Just as he says: The portal will close when you get the sigil stone, so when you've dropped some good lewt to pick up later, pick it up before you grab the sigil stone or the lewt is gone forever.
A better and easier way is to speak with the Guard captian and say "I'm not ready yet" and go then in the gate. Since you can make a better strategy and plan, you can move forward as you like...
Once you have made your way free to the sigil stone youll see that Guard Captain has come to the lowest tower section. Also none of the guard will die and the only thing you have to do left is to show him how remove the sigilstone and close the gate...

I once had an interesting experience there, I don't know what happened exactly, I came out of the gate and there several dremora left, so the group ganged up on them and killed them, however Martian must have really hurt someone because the 15 or so that had survived the onslaught ganged up on martain, so then we have several men killing our saviour. I slaughtered them all and was very dis-pleased I even had to kill Baurus and Jauffre.
And lo ye must learn of the great war that raged fo a couple of posts and brought the citadel momentaraly to its knees
Lookie!
I tend to appear briefly and disappear very quickly after that, try not to let it bother you.
