What dual-class combinations aren't possible (without mods)? I had always assumed most would be possible but I read recently that out of the ranger classes, Beastmaster is the only one that can be dualled to a cleric or anything at all for that matter. Anyways, my question is what other dual-class combinations aren't possible? These are all the things I assumed were possible by judging multi-class options (note; by Fighter I mean Fighter + kits for example):
Off-hand I wouldn't be tell you but someone would.
Initially what comes to mind is the Alignment factors - Kensai's for example cannot be chaotic alignment whilst a Druid can only be True Neutral.
I believe there was a Stalker/Cleric question awhile ago but that wasn't possible. Beastmaster/Cleric is possible but given the weaknesses of the Beastmaster the Ranger/Cleric has taken over for dualling.
You can't dual-class to/from a multiclass (Fighter/Thief --> Mage and Fighter --> Mage/Thief aren't possible dual classing options).
My mistake, is Fighter -> Mage -> Thief, Mage -> Fighter -> Thief, or Thief -> Fighter -> Mage possible, however? I can't test these thing on my BG atm as it's not installed.
Also, to be more specific to my main post, anyone have any idea as to which of these are possible?
You can't have a tripe-classed character via dual-classing.
So no Fighter -> Thief -> Mage
But a Fighter/Thief/Mage is very similar to a Swashbuckler --> Mage..
A Cleric/Mage can easily become as powerful in melee as a Fighter/Cleric/Mage with the right buffs.
