Photobucket has released what they call the Photobucket Edition of Flock, which comes with a fairly useful photo uploader.
The interface of the browser, based on Firefox, is more asthetic than functional, but will work nonetheless, especially if you already remember the more important hotkeys. Not sure if Firefox plugins will work for Flock, but it's quite possible that they will be compatible.
More important is the uploader that comes with the browser. While Photobucket's webpage allows you to upload 19 pictures at a time, it does not allow you to upload as a batch, making it fairly inconvenient for people who upload literally hundreds of images per day like me. The uploader is fairly similiar to Flickr's, although slightly inferior as far as the ability to upload large numbers of images is concerned, probably because it is still in Beta. I tried to upload around 150 images at a time and failed, and had to upload them 30 at a time, but this is still much faster than using the web-based uploader.
Firefox will probably do better for simple surfing, but for users of Photobucket there is nothing lost in installing this browser.
