Haste Spell / Age

Post by Usal72 »

I have a question. I would like to use the Haste spell, but I have read the online description in TOTSC. It states the following in the spell description "Additionally, this spell ages the recipient by one year, because of sped up metabolic processes."

I would like to start using Haste much more, but am concerned that my characters will become very old.

So, 2 questions. First, is it true that using the Haste spell ages the recipient one year? Second, where can you check the age of characters?

Thanks.

There is nothing like age in BG1 so haste doesn't have an aging effect.
I played my game without using haste or speed potions, but you can actually cast haste thousands of times without negative effect (except fatigue.)

In the later games (IWD,BG2) the aging was omitted in the spell description, I guess they just forgot to do so in BG1.
