The Legendary Sandgoose

Post by Zudane »

Hero
Legendary Will User called Paladin
Weight:Average
Age: 65
Time Played: 20 Hours and 46 Minutes
Game Days Passed: 40

Stats:
I have Mastered everything in the game even all Spells and stuff.
I am Fully "Good"
I Have done ALL the quests including the Silver ones, except the 3 Dummy Ones.
I have Jack of Blades doll
I have Frying Pan with all Clues
I did the Fist Fighter Gang
I also got the Arrow Trophy for Archery Range

I Listed these things so you can know what I had before i started this!

Well, I know the Legendary Boat "Sandgoose" hasn't been on topic for a while. But recently I found some strange things. I will tell you how I did it, I'm getting closer everyday. I was searching for this Mysterious Boat, and I found it. Only thing is, I cannot board the boat. Maybe you guys may help me on this "Little Quest" of mine. Okay, now I will tell how what I did so you people may do it at home. First of all I was in Oakvale searching for clues, because peter was saying something about the "Main City" I figured it has to be Oakvale or Bowerstone. I started my journey in Oakvale and I waited and waited.. I was going to give up and then I went to the docks and noticed two boats! Each one had a picture of a very strange bird on it, I copied down the time for future reference, here it is; Your Own Day/Night chart at the top right corner of your map must be like this: It is nighttime and the line is straight so the little arrow is pointing in the middle of the nighttime side. Now, I went to Hook Coast and I noticed at the docks there were boats there too! Of course I was trippin balls, then I decided to see if another Legendary Boat was there..The boat that takes you to Dragon Cliff, I know many people believe Dragon Cliff isn't real, and maybe they are right, but so many clues lead to this island being real! Anyways I went to Prison Path and there it was, an old beat up boat with a dragon head on its standard. I teleported back to Hook Coast and there were many starange things happening! ALL the houses were for sale! I didn't know why, I didn't raid the town at all yet. Then I went to Oakvale and saw the same thing too! I was trippin even more balls at this point. Anyways, I went to Bowerstone Quay and say some boats with "Sandgoose" On them. But It was morning and the houses thing was gone.. Maybe if I bought the houses somethign might have happened.... I don't know bt I'm going to Investigate on this more. One last thing, I notice these "Snow Disturbances" in Hook Coast on the ground near the house you can buy, the dead fish by the docks, and ones next to the Tombstones near the house on top.

Please help me if you want, I will appreciate it, thanks. :)

You can't mod on an Xbox, so this is inaccurate. Check your mailbox here for a PM, Ghost Dragon.

The Legendary Sandgoose, Dragon Cliffs...... While I agree that its not true, where did everyone get this information from? When I first played Fable: The Lost Chapters, I never even heard about these things. Only today then I've heard of them.
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

I know, I've heard Dragon Cliff isn't real, but Dragon Cliff isn't on Archon's Folly. It is the small island below Knothole Glade. Anyways, Sam from Big Blue Box said the Sandgoose and Singing Sword is in. I think that the singing sword is "The Singing S-Word." Because when you search for the Archeologist for the first time, if you put in the 4-letter curse word many times, the demon door will sing and complain his name isn't that 4-letter word. The Sandgoose is infact in the game and a while back like 2 years ago, a person entered the Forums of a site known as, "Better Bard." Here is what he said:

The flames of hatr'd I doth know I'll take,
But under pressure great I shalln't break.
My duties here are for now surely done;
The first post of this thread was not for fun.
The challenge put forth is valid in print,
The reward is what you seek: another hint.

'Neath a shady tree nearby the Glade,
Lies a secret that you know we've made.
'Tis the key to more adventures great,
For those of you who simply cannot wait.

A statue ticks away the time of day,
The mighty arm outstretched doth point the way.
When clouds are none and sun shines bright and true,
That's the time to try to find the clue.

In a Northern land so far from home,
You may wish to go and freely roam.
For if one looks in just the right place,
Thou shalt see that which possesses grace.

The mighty beast of old is not just lore,
And if you're interested in hearing more,
This challenge I do give both here and now:
Tell me what you found beneath the bough.

The empty panel is most curious,
Its lack of art doth make you furious.
For this we heartily apologize;
It soon shall bear a nice treat for your eyes.

'Tis been a week since the game's first release,
Hence the title of this gen'rous piece.
Doubt not the information it contains,
And you shall find much more within your games!

Of this ground glitch problem we're aware;
It makes the ground look bad and rather bare.
If your Xbox is loaded with Live,
The fix you shall receive in one point five.

Your contemplation is both long and deep,
For this one more reward you all shall reap.
My words which follow are the simple truth,
To find their meaning one must be a sleuth.
A boat both wide and tall you may just board,
If only you can find the Singing Sword.
For this you must destroy the fearsome Jack;
And only then may you locate the track.
A building thin and tall stands in the snow,
Nearby lies the secret you wish to know.

That which you seek you won't find quickly,
If first you do not visit the tree.
Even then this will not be easy,
Unless you find a certain NPC.

If you took the life of him you seek,
He would surely not be keen to speak.
Worry not though because just at dawn,
The man you're after will in fact respawn.

Who or what or why never again,
The only thing that matters now is when.

The torch that you seek just might be the link,
But not in the way that you might first think.
Open your minds to other ways of play,
And extra stuff you just might find today.

Another clue might do you all some good,
So perhaps I'll talk about the wood.
Within a grove you'll find an ancient trick
Which might be handy for your precious stick.

Have you wondered why it can't be sold?
The stick you have is verily quite old.
The first thing you received might be the key,
To unlocking this most wond'rous myst'ry.

Work not too hard for it will be in vain,
And surely cause you a great deal of pain.
The secret that you work so hard to chase
Is actually right there before your face.
Once you know it you will surely feel
Happy that you owned your great Guild Seal.
The answer to this quest is obvious,
When you think not "him" nor "her" but us.

And for you who doubt that I am real,
I don't blame you for the way you feel.
Trust is a virtue both strong and rare,
The truth is what I speak to you, I swear!

The Better Bard you seek is not far off,
For have you not been reading here? *cough, cough*

Methinks it time to spill another hint,
Your trusty spade shall not give off a glint
When near the spot to dig you doth go near,
Unless first you've drunk down some nice cold beer.

I said not drunk when last I gave a clue,
Such 'sumptions will only make you quite blue.
But if this way you feel you must construe,
You'll find it difficult when you walk through.

To those of you who wish for straight replies,
I could surely sit and dole some lies.
True fun comes not from me holding your hand,
But rather when it is you understand
That this is something you must do alone.
The time draws near that this Bard must go home.

If an easy riddle's what you want,
I might be able to be nonchalant.
In South Bowerstone there is a gal,
Who absolutely will not be your pal.
She'll tell you something that you want to know,
If only you can figure where to go.

This next rhyme might not be such a clue,
But rather something small from me to you.
By Avo's smile and Skorn's great wrath you'll see
Just how much more there is to this great key.

Nearly sixty pages have been wrote,
And no one yet has rode the wond'rous boat?
Perhaps this secret is a bit tricky,
Or maybe my verse is too gimmicky?

Either way it's best to stay the course,
For with info I'll remain a source.
But tell you what to do I sadly can't,
Save for what I mention in my chant.

From what I think is that he is talking about the Sandgoose Boat. I might have had a glitch in the game for the houses up for sale, I'll Check it out though.

P.S. - Thank you all for not yelling at me or saying i'm crazy so I thank you guys for that. :)

Matthewd, I apologise, I meant to say that there was a picture of the Sandgoose on the boats in Hook Coast and in Bowerstone Quay. Also, I have the Original Fable the one that came out in 2004. I just want to complete that one before I start TLC.

All right, I've done some searching in the game and on the web. I haven't found much but i do say this, I was wrong about the Singing Sword... It is NOT in the game, but the Sandgoose is. Anyways, info in the game... I found out that the Gallows Tree is in Lookout Point and not near Bowerstone Jail. Also, I found what NPC it is I think, I think that the NPC is the Trader you take to Orchard Farm, he respawns at dawn near the statue in Lookout Point. That is all.

That poem thing seems a bit suspicious. Those kinds of poems are supposed to flow, and closely match in syllables. Some parts of that are off a bit, leading me to believe that somebody had a lot of time on their hands.
