Question on character stats.

Post by meuric »

My character is a tier mage level 6, still in Fargrove and haven’t completed any quest yet (just started on the grave yard I'm in no hurry), why is it that every item I equip myself with has a high cost associated with it, just using the light chain-mail armor changes my stats to negative number like parry – 8, speed -41, about the only way it don’t cost me is if I go naked with a stick (trust me it wouldn’t be a pretty sight :) ).
It’s obviously operator err so can someone give me a clue??

Thanks in advance.

Look at the requirements: skill level, strength level on the item, will let you know what you need to have to use it. they are under the item name when you hover over them.

It's called penalty, and you don't want that.
You must meet the strength requirements for that item and have a high enough skill level of that item (for instance: a sword that requires 3 light weapon mastery and 15 strength will give you -3 penalty if your strength is 15 (or higher) and 0 light weapons mastery, to get rid of that penalty you must upgrade your light weapons mastery to level3).
I hope I have shed some light on your question. Enjoy the rest of your mortal time...
