I have played through a couple of times... and I usually end up with a mix of heavy and light armor...
my new character is going unarmored... with constant-effect: 'sanctuary' enchanted clothes... extravagant pants, shirt, belt, amulet and ring for a total of 80 points of constant sanctuary... my unarmored skill has my armor class around 30 - so... I am about 1/3 of the way into the game... is my character going to make it through the challenges ahead? or should I go back to wearing a mess of armor again? so far, it is working pretty good... not much armor class... but not much hits me at this point... any suggestions?
ps... the dude looks really suave in the fancy duds... very different from the 'daedric' look...
Armor vs. lots of enchanted "Sanctuary" clothing...

instead of putting gold toward light, med, heavy armor points go for unarmored....this will still make the game fun and you don't have to carry all of the extra weight around. And if your guy/girl pretty much has that maxed it will have the same effect as having a ton of armor points!!! And also you wouldn't really need a bunch of "sanctuary clothing"
Mmm, I suspect Sanctuary will not help you improving your unarmoured skill, because you won't be hit.
Also, I think in order to improve your health, you need to use endurance based skills, and only heavy/medium armour or spear skills apply to that category.
I would go for constant effect bound armour set (armour, helmet, and boots only, so that I can improve both heavy armour and unarmoured skills) instead, but that's personal preference.

Or, instead of enchanting clothing with "Sanctuary," you could try enchanting with "Shield" instead. It might be less cheesy... I haven't really used it myself though, maybe others have more experience with it.
Personally, I'd suggest the unarmoured route though, as has been mentioned already, it makes the game *much* more fun!

The whole Sanctuary method is okay, but it does tend to get a little bit boring.
If you are going for a light breezy character try out some Glass, if you are going grab up some Daedric armor and kick it up oldschool.
@Dragon - I tried that once, and its not really all that effective. However life regeneration/straight boost may be a good enough method for someone who wants to rock but not utterly be unkillable.
