when ever i try to pray at the alter, it says repent your crimes wicked one!.....is there something i have to do so that i can pray again???

Many other threads on this topic, but short version: Get your fame higher than your infamy by doing good deeds. Try the fighter's guild. In the RC church, you can be a serial pederast, take the last rites, and you're good to go. In ES4, you have to actually prove it.

Exactly. Please check using search to find the answer to questions like these, with words such as "infamy" and "fame." The site owner doesn't want lots of thread duplication in the database. He says it slows the board down.
