Post by Shaundakul »

My personality score has been lowered by 20 points, but I have no diseases, and restore personality potions aren't workin. Any ideas?

Have you tried to visit any shrines?

I have noticed several times that some spells, especially those ones casted by bonewalkers, lowers stats, mainly Strength though, and this isn't showed anywhere else than as kiwered score. Visiting shrine did cure this.

You don't need a disease to suffer attribute loss. You've probably been cursed. An item can do that, or more likely, a monster you killed.

Buy a potion from an alchemy shop of Restore Personality. If you have alchemy skills, you can always make your own. I think the two Temples will also sell Restore spells.

Finally, remember to check the search engine in our database, in the upper right of the menu bar. Had you searched on "attribute," you could have found this discussed in at least one previous thread, and right away. The site owner doesn't like thread duplication (he says it slows down the board). ;)

He already tried Restore Personality potions and they didn't work.

I would try a spell, even though it should be the same as a potion, just to be safe. And also try going to a shrine as Kipi suggested. If neither of those work you my have to revert to an older game before the stat was reduced.

As to what caused the personality loss, have you been fighting dagoths and the like? They sometimes drain personality.

I'd definitely try visiting a temple/shrine though. At the Dunmer temples you want, "Almsivi Restoration." Select "Restore Atrributes" at the Imperial shrines.
